【水3】University English 2B /商3S <後期>
The aim of this UE3B program is for students to build on and progress from the first year of University English studies, applying and reinforcing this previous learning to develop writing and presentation skills for communicative competence within the academic context. In collaboration, students will participate in scaffolded writing activities to further learning, understanding, practice and application of language, and common stylistic discourse forms. The objective is to effectively organize knowledge and present logical and coherent details in a research report on topics related to areas of student’s academic interests. Based on this report and aided by visual support, student groups will prepare and give oral presentations, and will respond to questions from their peers utilizing interactive communication skills. By the end of the semester, students will have applied knowledge to practice, building their confidence in both written and spoken discourse.

- 到達目標
- This UE3B academic report writing and presentation program aims to consolidate and build on the first year of English learning and practice from reading and writing classes, and speaking and listening classes. In collaborative groups and using model materials, students will be guided through scaffolded practice and processes that will enable them to write a 700-800-word three-paragraph report with an introduction and conclusion, utilizing multiple genres introduced during the first year of study. Together they will convert this report into an oral presentation aided by visual support. After giving the presentation students will respond to questions utilizing effective communication skills.
